Last Thursday San Diego Zoo Safari Park guests previewed a new aerial adventure, Jungle Ropes Safari, which took them on a series of challenges through scenic treetops. The tree-top experience opened on Friday July 20th.
Three different courses are available, allowing guests to have a new experience with each visit as they become more proficient in completing the course elements. There are 39 challenges, including rope bridges, ladders and swinging elements. In some places guests are suspended more than 30 feet above the ground. Two of the courses end in a short zip line ride.
Jungle Ropes Safari is a strenuous experience for guests seven years old and older. Additional safety restrictions require that guests weigh between 50 and 275 lbs., fit in the provided harness, and have a reach of 55 inches (measured from the sole of the foot to the up-stretched tips of the fingers) to participate in this safari. Secure, closed-toed shoes are required footwear but other climbing gear is provided by the Park.
