6th Annual Party for the Planet™ Will Connect People to Wildlife Conservation

More than 100 of the top zoos and aquariums across North America are throwing the 6th Annual Party for the Planet™ – the largest combined Earth Day celebration in North America.

On Earth Day, April 22nd, and throughout the month of April, AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums across North America will host events to raise awareness about conservation, sustainable living, and making our Earth a better place to live.  Scheduled Party for the Planet™ events include live animal presentations, give-aways, crafts, keeper talks, environmental activities, and more!

“Every year, millions of zoo and aquarium visitors connect with wildlife, learn about nature, and become involved in protecting our planet for the future,” said AZA President & CEO Jim Maddy.  “By participating in the Party for the Planet™ at your local zoo or aquarium, you are helping to support conservation locally and worldwide.”

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than with the planet’s amazing and diverse wildlife?  Local AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums are the perfect place to connect with nature and conservation in your community.
